JazzCash is one of the two largest mobile wallets in Pakistan, run by Mobilink Microfinance Bank Limited — a State Bank of Pakistan-licensed microfinance bank that has operated JazzCash since 2012 as a joint venture between Jazz (the mobile network) and Waseela Bank. JazzCash today serves the accounts behind over 1.5 million registered businesses and more than 300,000 agents nationwide. That licensing matters for this guide: JazzCash is a regulated financial product with formal account tiers, verification requirements, and transaction limits, not an informal cash system.
This page explains how depositing and withdrawing with JazzCash generally works — account verification, current limits, fees, and the step-by-step process for moving money in and out of the wallet. It applies to JazzCash use in general, not any single app or platform.
If you're specifically looking for how JazzCash is used as a deposit or withdrawal method on a particular kind of platform, see the related guide linked near the end of this page.
Account types & verification
JazzCash accounts come in tiers, and which tier you're on directly affects what you can do with the wallet. Per JazzCash's own Terms and Conditions, the main tiers for individual customers are:
- Level 0 — the starting tier, opened with just a Jazz SIM and CNIC, no additional verification.
- Level 1 — reached through biometric verification.
- Asaan Digital Account and Asaan Digital Remittance Account — higher tiers requiring fuller documentation, mainly aimed at customers who need to move larger sums or receive international remittances.
- Freelance Digital Account — a higher-limit tier aimed specifically at freelancers receiving international payments.
Level 1 is reached through biometric verification — matching your fingerprints against your NADRA record, either at a JazzCash agent or through in-app biometric verification. JazzCash's own Schedule of Charges lists a fee of PKR 100 for in-app biometric verification; account registration itself and the Asaan Digital Account upgrade are both listed as free. The in-app path generally works by opening the app's account section, selecting the upgrade/verification option, and scanning your fingerprints — commonly described as taking under five minutes.
Verification tier is the single biggest factor determining your deposit and withdrawal limits — more so than which specific service you're sending money to or receiving it from. If a biometric scan fails, retrying at a different agent location (or under better lighting, for in-app scans) is the usual fix; if verification still isn't going through, JazzCash's official customer support is the reliable channel — no legitimate method exists to bypass biometric verification or "unlock" higher limits without it.
Deposit & withdrawal limits
The table below reflects the limits published in JazzCash's own Terms and Conditions for branchless banking accounts:
| Account tier | Daily (credit/debit) | Monthly (credit/debit) | Yearly | Max balance |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Level 0 | PKR 25,000 | PKR 50,000 | PKR 200,000 | PKR 200,000 |
| Level 1 | PKR 100,000 | PKR 300,000 | PKR 3,600,000 | PKR 1,000,000 |
| Asaan Digital Account | PKR 3,000,000 | PKR 3,000,000 | PKR 12,000,000 | PKR 3,000,000 |
Deposits and withdrawals share the same tiered limit per account level — JazzCash doesn't publish a separate deposit-only or withdrawal-only ceiling. Customers can also send and receive up to five JazzCash-to-JazzCash (wallet-to-wallet) transfers per day across all channels. As the table shows, moving from Level 0 to Level 1 raises your ceiling by roughly four to six times, and the Asaan Digital Account raises it further still — the main reason users pursue biometric verification and account upgrades in the first place. JazzCash's own terms note that these limits "can be extended against the given level" on request through their call center, so the figures above are a baseline rather than an absolute cap in every case.
Fees
The figures below are taken directly from JazzCash's Schedule of Charges, effective for the third quarter of 2026:
- Cash deposit (cash-in) — 0.5% of the transaction amount.
- Agent cash withdrawal (cash-out) — a tiered slab rather than a flat percentage. Two reference points: a PKR 10,000 withdrawal costs PKR 180 (an effective rate of 1.8%), and a PKR 50,000 withdrawal costs PKR 690 (an effective rate of 1.38%) — the percentage drops as the withdrawal amount rises.
- ATM withdrawal — a flat PKR 35, inclusive of tax.
- Transfer to a bank account (IBFT) — free up to an aggregate of PKR 25,000 sent per month; beyond that, whichever is lower of 0.1% of the transaction or PKR 200.
- In-app biometric verification (BVS) — PKR 100, a one-time fee to upgrade to Level 1.
- M-Wallet registration — free.
Fee schedules are reissued every quarter by JazzCash, so the figures above (current for Jul–Sep 2026) should be checked against the current Schedule of Charges on the official JazzCash website if you're reading this after that quarter ends.
Step-by-step: how to deposit money into JazzCash
- From a bank account — link your bank account to JazzCash (if supported by your bank) and initiate a transfer from your bank's app or JazzCash's app.
- From another JazzCash wallet — send directly wallet-to-wallet, free of charge, up to five transfers per day.
- Via a JazzCash agent or shop — hand cash to a registered JazzCash agent, who credits the equivalent amount to your wallet using their agent terminal, for a 0.5% cash-in fee.
Whichever method you use, always confirm the deposit has actually landed in your wallet balance before leaving an agent location or closing the app.
Step-by-step: how to withdraw money from JazzCash
- To a bank account — initiate an IBFT transfer from JazzCash to a linked bank account; free up to PKR 25,000 per month in total, then a small percentage-based fee.
- Via a JazzCash agent or shop — the agent processes the cash-out from their own terminal using your registered mobile number and PIN/OTP confirmation, so you don't necessarily need to have the JazzCash app open yourself; the fee follows the tiered cash-out slab described above.
- Via ATM — withdraw using a linked JazzCash debit card for a flat PKR 35 fee.
As with deposits, transaction limits apply based on your account tier, and the exact fee is shown in the app before you confirm the withdrawal.
Common problems
Two things come up repeatedly for mobile wallet users generally: hitting a transaction limit mid-process — solved by completing biometric verification to reach Level 1 (or a higher documented tier), not by searching for a workaround — and a pending transaction that hasn't cleared, where checking transaction history in the app is the first step, followed by official customer support if it's genuinely stuck.
Using JazzCash on specific platforms
Everything above applies to JazzCash in general, regardless of what you're using it for. In practice, JazzCash is also a payment method people search for alongside specific real-money gaming and betting platforms in Pakistan.
If you came to this page because you're using (or considering using) JazzCash on one of those platforms, the guide below goes into the platform-specific details — while still linking back here for anything about limits, fees, or verification, so that information only has to live in one place:
